Material Distribution

The IBU provides material support for all developing NF members through cooperation with IBU's supplying partners. Each year, biathlon equipment like skis, ski boots, bindings, poles, ammunition, rifle parts, ski uniforms, gloves, wax, and many other items are distributed to IBU´s member federations to support the Development of biathlon on a national level. The distribution is based on a wishlist provided by the NFs and is regularly organized in December.

Principles for Material Distribution

The support is given to NFs from B, C, D, and E development categories, which have at least 4 athletes competing in a minimum of 2 IBU Competitions (incl. IBU Regional events). The value of the equipment package will be based on

• the number of athletes participating in IBU Events from the previous season.

• wishlist from NF (submitted via IBU Scope).

• available equipment from Partner & Suppliers

• Dates: 2-3 December 2026

• Location: Hochfilzen, Austria

The application for the 'NF Wishlist' will be opened in September 2026.

REPORTS

The Material Distribution 2025 took place from 10 - 11 December 2025 in Hochfilzen, Austria. In total 37 National Federations were supported by materials from 28 Supplying Partners with a total value of about 965.000 €.
