Top Moments Soldier Hollow + Obertilliach + Prince George

A lot was happening, but in the end, nothing really changed after the Soldier Hollow week. Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold and Johannes Thingnes Boe travel to the Season's Finals in Canmore, Canada, as the Total Score leaders, and it will take their monumental meltdown and series of wins from Lisa Vittozzi, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet or Tarjei Boe for them not to defend the lead. We got new Total Score winners in the IBU Cup. And the best Para Biathletes competed at the World Championships in Prince George.

Boe Brothers Showdown moves to Canada

After four misses and 17th place in the Sprint in Soldier Hollow, JT Boe turned his thumb down: bad. Then he did what only the most remarkable athletes do: regrouped overnight and turned a 58.1 seconds deficit after the Sprint into a win in the Pursuit. Tarjei Boe perhaps missed his last big chance to dethrone his brother and win the Total Score title as he missed the final two shots and finished seventh in the Sprint. Tarjei won 12 points over Johannes in the Sprint but - finishing second - lost 15 in the Pursuit. Before the last three competitions in Canmore, Johannes holds a 62-point lead over his brother. Eric Perrot celebrated his first-ever BMW IBU World Cup win in the Sprint. Johan Olav Botn finished third in the Sprint in his only third competition in the World Cup. Campbell Wright was sixth in the Sprint: his first-ever World Cup Flower ceremony finish.

Tandrevold opens doors, but only just

Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold travels to Canmore with a 73-point lead over Lisa Vittozzi and an unpleasant feeling. She opened the Soldier Hollow week with a second place in the Sprint but concluded it with a 4/10 performance in the standing stages and 11th place in the Pursuit. Lou Jeanmonnot was the only athlete in the women's field with two podiums: she won in the Pursuit and was third in the Sprint. And freshly-crowned Junior Mass Start World Champion Julia Kink anchored the German relay to second place, stepping in for sick Sophia Schneider just 2 hours before the start.
