Vote for your Athlete Of The Week: Oestersund 2025

The first week of the 25/26 biathlon season brought plenty of excitement, from confident, clean shooting to strong skiing and a couple of well-earned maiden victories. The races were close, the performances impressive, and several athletes made a strong case for themselves. Which one of these four biathletes will be your Athlete of the Week?

Johan-Olav Botn (NOR) claimed his first two wins and will be travelling to Hochfilzen with the yellow bib. He showed his shooting form with no shots missed in the individual and sprint - what an incredible performance.

Suvi Minkkinen (FIN) won her first World Cup race in the women's sprint with an impressive 16.6-second lead over the second. After the win, she rose to the World Cup lead and will be heading to Hochfilzen with the yellow bib after finishing second in the pursuit on Sunday.

Lisa Hauser (AUT) started the pursuit from fourth place after a great sprint. Hauser did a perfect job on the shooting range, and her 20-out-of-20 shooting led her to the win. With this, she now has a win from each individual disciple in the World Cup.

Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA) showed why he is the king of pursuit as he took his 10th top-level pursuit victory on Sunday. After starting from third place, he showed in the final standing shooting that he can calm his nerves and shoot clean!

Now it is your time to choose who deserves the Athlete of the Week title from Oestersund. Vote now - you have until Monday 18 CET.
