Vetting procedure completed with 36 candidates approved for IBU elections

The IBU today published the final list of candidates considered eligible for its forthcoming elections.

The elections will take place at the IBU Congress in Salzburg on 15-18 September 2022.

Of the 36 approved candidates, 19 are standing for positions on the Executive Board and 17 are standing for the Technical Committee.

Current IBU President Olle DAHLIN of Sweden is running unopposed in the election for IBU President.

IBU Vice President Jiri HAMZA of Czech Republic is the sole candidate running for the IBU Vice Presidency.

The following three candidates are running for IBU Treasurer:

• Kalle LÄHDESMÄKI (Finland)

• Christian SCHERER (Austria)

• Max COBB (USA)

The two candidates not elected IBU Treasurer will stand in the elections to the Executive Board alongside 14 other candidates. This brings the total to 16 (8 women and 8 men) applying for six seats with at least two members of the male gender and at least two members of the female gender among them:
