Galmace-Paulin and Nevland win the Mass Start 60 in Lenzerheide

Voldiya Galmace-Paulin of France and Martin Nevland of Norway won the Mass Start 60 events at the IBU Cup in Lenzerheide. Nevland returned to the IBU Cup after a year’s absence due to health issues.

Galmace-Paulin, still only 20 years old, won her first IBU Cup race of the season — her fourth career IBU Cup victory — and now looks poised to join the World Cup team soon. She missed one shot in the final standing stage, winning in 32:00.1. Amandine Mengin, also of France, delivered a perfect shooting performance to finish second, 9.5 seconds behind. Sprint winner Sophie Chauveau, with three misses but the fastest skiing time, finished third, 15.4 seconds behind Galmace-Paulin.

Nevland missed one shot in the first standing stage and won in 38:54.9. He last won in the IBU Cup two seasons ago — also in the Mass Start 60 in Sjusjoen, Norway. Sprint winner Sverre Dahlen Aspenes, shooting 17/20, finished second, 12.6 seconds behind his teammate. Gaetan Paturel of France, also shooting 17/20, finished third, 19.8 seconds behind the winner.

With Paula Botet competing at the BMW IBU World Cup in Annecy–Le Grand-Bornand, Galmace-Paulin took the lead in the Total Score and will wear the green bib when the IBU Cup continues in Arber, Germany, in January 2026. Valentin Lejeune, competing in his maiden World Cup week in France, still leads the men’s standings.
