Emilien Jacquelin calls it a season

Emilien Jacuqelin announced on social media that he will not take part in any of the remaining BMW IBU World Cups of this season. Following a bittersweet edition of the BMW IBU World Championships of Oberhof, the Frenchman felt like he had no energy to compete at the highest level during the final three stages of the season.

The tank is empty”, he wrote on Instagram communicating his sadness and yet feeling of comfort: “these last few months/years have been intense, without a real chance to step back and listen to myself”.

In spite of the gold medal conquered with the team in the men’s relay, Jacquelin felt like it was a difficult edition of the world championships and hopes this decision will help him in the long run.

Take a step back to be able to jump better, so the future will only be more beautiful”, he concluded.

Rest up, Emilien - see you back at the start line next winter!
