Biathlon Integrity Unit launches new website

The Biathlon Integrity Unit (BIU) today launched its new website to provide a one-stop shop for all integrity related matters in the sport of biathlon.

The user friendly website,, provides clear and easily navigable information on matters such as Anti-Doping, Safeguarding, Diversity and Anti-Corruption. Stakeholder-specific information is also provided to ensure that different stakeholder groups are aware of their rights and obligations under the newly established IBU Integrity Code.

As part of the Biathlon Integrity Unit commitment to encouraging members of the biathlon family to speak out against integrity breaches, the website also details how information can be provided to the Biathlon Integrity Unit in a secure and confidential way, via the Whistleblower Hotline.

Anti-Doping E-Learning tools for both Athletes and Coaches are accessible on the website, alongside various rules and regulations including the IBU Integrity Code, WADA Code and WADA Prohibited List.

Chair of the Biathlon Integrity Unit Louise Reilly said:

“The Biathlon Integrity Unit's new website will serve as a central hub of information for all integrity matters related to the sport of biathlon. We wanted to ensure it is as informative and easy to navigate as possible in order to encourage people to use the website as an educational tool as well as a source for the latest integrity information.”

The Biathlon Integrity Unit was established in 2019 by the International Biathlon Union (IBU) under its new Constitution. The Biathlon Integrity Unit is operationally independent and responsible for the central management of all integrity-related matters concerning biathlon. The Biathlon Integrity Unit investigates and prosecutes cases that breach the IBU Integrity Code while also aims to prevent potential future wrongdoing.
