From Oestersund all the way to Oslo - via Beijing: The BMW IBU World Cup Season Biathlon 2021/2022 concluded last weekend in Holmenkollen with Quentin Fillon Maillet receiving the big Crystal Globe to crown his incredible season.

Sebastian Samuelsson started the season with a bang, Emilien Jacquelin stunned everyone in his home venue - but throughout the season, one man was consistency and excellence personified: Quentin Fillon Maillet headed to the Olympic Winter Games with the yellow bib firmly fitted to his torso - and after battling for Gold with Johannes Thingnes Boe in Beijing time after time, the Frenchman continued to rack up podium performances and victories all the way into March.
