Five biathletes stand for election to IBU Athletes Committee

A total of five candidates are standing for election to the IBU Athletes’ Committee with the election to be held during the BMW World Cup Oslo Holmenkollen from 27 February to 3 March.

The five candidates for the election are Kelsey Dickinson (USA), Simon Eder (AUT), Lena Häcki-Gross (SUI), Jessica Jislova (CZE), and Anna Maka (POL).

The election will take place through an online voting system and all athletes, who have competed in the IBU World Cup in at least one of the first two trimesters, or at the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon 2024 in Nové Město na Moravě during the 2023-2024 season will have the right to vote.

The Athletes’ Committee was recently expanded to five members and with current Chair Clare Egan standing down there are two spots available. Remaining members of the Athletes’ Committee are Johannes Kühn (GER), Sebastian Samuelsson (SWE), and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (NOR). The current members' term continues until 2026 as they were elected for four years in 2022.

Of the two new members elected, one must be female and the other can be male or female.
