Johannes Dale made his debut at the BMW IBU World Cup level in Nove Mesto na Morave in the 2018/2019 season, where he finished 15th in the sprint, shooting 10/10, and 28th in the pursuit. The talent, fearlessness and admirable work ethic groomed in him by his father Jo since he was 10 years old quickly endeared him to his colleagues in the A team, which he joined as a full-time member in the 2019/2020 season, which he finished with an impressive eighth place in the Total Score standings. Johannes finished in the flowers six times in the 2019/2020 season, with his best result being fourth place in the mass start in Oberhof. He also stood on top of the podium with his relay colleagues four times in the 2019/2020 season. He took part in the IBU World Championships in Antholz-Anterselva 2020, where he won silver in the men’s relay, his first-ever medal at the grandest stage of biathlon. Dale’s best result at the IBU Y/J World Championships was third place in the pursuit in Otepaeae 2018. He has yet to participate in the Olympic Winter Games.
Johannes is known for his open character, wide smile, love for fun and eagerness to improve every day and bounce back stronger after any disappointment.
