Perfect Babikov Wins Antholz Individual

Russia’s Anton Babikov did what none of his rivals could do this afternoon in the Antholz men’s 20 km individual, he shot clean, keying his second career victory in 49:46.8. Norway’s Tarjei Boe with two penalties in the last standing stage finished second, 9.7 seconds back. Babikov’s 23-year-old teammate Said Karim Karimulla, with one penalty finished third, 48.5 seconds back, Khalili’s third place was his first-ever senior podium after winning multiple medals at the IBU YJCH in recent years.

Femsteinevik and Babikov win IBU Cup mass start 60

Fresh snow covering the tracks, 60 men were ready to take on the mass start 60 competition in Sjusjoen Norway. One penalty from the first prone; Russia’s Anton Babikov makes it a golden double claiming the 15 km competition win in 41:33.6. From the women’s side it was Norway’s Ragnhild Femsteinevik who delivered the shiniest result. After earning one standing penalty, she finishes the competition in 40:21.2 taking the win.
