WADA’s 2022 Prohibited List comes into force on 1 January

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) calls on athletes, entourage, and all stakeholders to note major modifications concerning the use of salbutamol and injectable glucocorticoids.

The Agency reminds stakeholders that the 2022 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods; the 2022 Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes; and the 2022 Monitoring Program come into force on 1 January 2022. The 2022 List was approved by WADA’s Executive Committee during its meeting on 14 September 2021. The List is one of the eight International Standards that are mandatory for all Signatories of the World Anti-Doping Code. It designates what substances and methods are prohibited both in- and out-of-competition and which substances are banned in particular sports.
