The Big 4 Say Goodbye-athlon!

Last week, Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, Denise Herrmann-Wick, Anais Chevalier-Bouchet and Tiril Eckhoff all announced their retirement from the sport within 36 hours of each other.

March 14 and March 15 2023 saw the retirement of four hugely successful women in biathlon, three of them being Olympic Champions, two of them having won the Total Score and together, they won 68 medals at BMW IBU World Championships and the Olympic Winter Games. We caught up with all four women during the final week of their careers – and it couldn’t have ended much better for Herrmann-Wick, Olsbu Roeiseland and Chevalier-Bouchet who managed to climb on the podium in the last two competitions of Oslo Holmenkollen.
