With tens of thousands of fans competing for the best street choreography at the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, football is the main topic of (almost) any debate in Europe. We reached out to our athletes to ask which team they support (easy) and which individual player will make the difference on the pitch.

Vitalii Mandzyn - Ukraine all the way

"I support Team Ukraine for sure. I cannot highlight just one person who will make the difference, I think we have a great team with lots of talented guys. So I van say that their belief in themselves,, cohesion and the only goal will lead them to the biggest success!"

Anika Kozica - Team Croatia

"I am supporting Croatia, of course. I sense we will see more pleasant surprises from our team's young player Joško Gvardiol (playing for Manchester City in the Premiership)."

David Zobel - All eyes on the home team

"I support Germany and hope for the best because it would be amazing for the atmosphere here! I'm fairly sure Jamal Musiala (from Bayern Munich, my favourite football club) will make the difference with his amazing strong performances with the ball."

Otto Invenius - Football will be coming home - to England

"England will take it home this summer. They have not won anything for a long time despite the strong team. I believe Jude Bellingham will be the one to keep an eye out for!"

Niklas Hartweg - Two teams for the win

"I cannot pick just one team. So, I will be supporting both Switzerland and Germany. Manuel Akanji for Team Swiss and Florian Wirtz for Team German will make all the difference in the game."
