Therepeutic Use Exemption (TUE)
Athletes with a documented medical condition requiring the use of a Prohibited Substance or Prohibited Method must first obtain a TUE.
Athletes included by the IBU in its Registered Testing Pool must obtain a TUE from IBU. Other Athletes participating in any IBU International Event should apply for a TUE at their National Antidoping Organization and request recognition of the TUE from the IBU.
In order to ensure this application can be processed efficiently, please include sufficient information to support the diagnosis including physicians notes, laboratory and/or test results and any imaging results.

RTP Return to Competition Form
If an athlete belonging to the IBU RTP decides to permanently retire from IBU competitions, he/she needs to fill out the IBU Retirement Form. This form should be signed by the athlete and his/her NF and then forwarded via email to IBU. (lucie.rothauer@ibu.at)
If an athlete who has retired from International Biathlon would like to compete again, he/she needs to announce this to IBU in writing (Return to Competition Form) 6 months prior to the first competition. (see IBU Anti-Doping Rules 5.7.)
