The Kontiolahti stadium, although completely modern with is also a step back in time. Its distinctive red wooden clapboard timing which building anchors the stadium, harkens back to a time when this was just a small local ski club hidden in the Finnish forest.

How does the free shuttle service work
FREE SHUTTLE BUSES FROM JOENSUU AND KONTIOLAHTI.
On each competition day, there’s a free shuttle bus service from Joensuu city center and from Kontiolahti. The buses leave every 15-30 minutes depending on the day. You find the time schedules and routes here: kontiolahtibiathlon.com > Info > Transportation
Is there a place to warm up between the races?
This year, you can enjoy the spectators' tent again - with the atmosphere, DJ music (DJ Sedu) and drinks. 400 customer seats, of which 100 seats are on the terrace, grill next to the terrace. There is also a product sales point of the Kontiolahti Biathlon products.
The spectators' tent is open on competition days until 18:00, and Saturday evening until 21:00!
Are tickets sold at the gate?
Yes, most tickets are sold online but you can buy tickets also at the main gate or at the Joensuu square market at those times when the shuttle buses operate. At the gate, you can pay with card or cash.
On competition days, the stadium gates open 2 hours before the beginning of the first competition.
The stadium gates close at 18:00, on Saturday they close at 21:00.
Is parking free at the stadium?
Yes.
If I have a ticket to “Stand A”, can I go to track stands as well?
Yes, in this case, you are allowed to go to the “track stand” as well. However, if you have bought a ticket to the “track stand”, you are not allowed to go to “Stand A”.
