The summer action kicks off in Sandnes at the beginning of August - and just like last year it is free admission throughout the weekend on Norway's west coast.
While some athletes will try to tackle the Lysebotn Opp's many hairpins, the biathlon action kicks off on Friday, 02 August with the shooting duel, followed by the super sprint on the same evening and the mass start on Saturday, 03 August.
The Summer Biathlon World Championships are taking place in Estonia, namely Otepää - the same venue that will also host the BMW IBU World Championships 2027. A total of 4 competition days will see the athletes battle it out in Super Sprints, Sprints and Mass Starts and Pursuits: Tickets are already on sale.
The youngest addition to the summer events, Martin Fourcade's Nordic festival at the shores of stunning Lake Annecy with a picturesque mountain background, will celebrate its fifth anniversary this year.
Tickets for the biathlon action of Saturday went on sale today (11 June 2024) - all other activities and concerts don't require tickets.
Same event, new city. Germany's "City Biathlon" moves across the country from Wiesbaden to Dresden. The competitions are now going to take place in the Heinz Steyer Stadium.
Additionally, City Biathlon has changed its August date to the middle of September, making it the final bigger exhibition summer event of the year. Tickets are already on sale.
