Plogging around IBU HQ on International Earth Day 2024

On the occasion of the International Earth Day on 22 April 2024, the IBU organized a joint Plogging action at the IBU Headquarters to honor this day and raise awareness about the impact humanity has on our beautiful earth.

Consistent with the theme "Planet vs. Plastics", IBU Staff went Plogging together on a five kilometer loop around the HQ followed by a joint lunch to thank everyone participating. During the run, the IBU employees were surprised by the amount of trash they found. The result was that the first trash bag already had to be emptied in a public trash bin after only two kilometers.

This activity is part of an internal education programme about Sustainability and everyones role to contribute to a sustainable future.
