It joined the National Federations of Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Turkey, Lebanon, Moldova, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia to discuss the state of biathlon in the region and growth prospects for the sport.
As part of the the Conference, President Dahlin provided an update on the delivery of the IBU strategy. Development Director Gerasimuk spoke about the development programs and good practice sharing within the scope of the IBU Academy activities and the importance of the Regional Events.
The President of the Bulgarian Biathlon Federation, Atanas Furnadshiev, organised a meeting with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. During the meeting, the IBU delegation discussed various topics related to biathlon development support in the country, such as infrastructure, broadcasting, and other relevant matters.
The IBU delegation also met with the Youth and Sports Minister Georgi Glushkov, who presented President Dahlin with a special plaque.
After visiting the biathlon venue in Bansko, a meeting was held with Major Stoycho Metodiev Banenski to discuss the modernisation of the venue and the developing biathlon in the city.
