Creating, maintaining and using the network

"Creating, maintaining and using the network" - was the webinar's subject as part of the IBU Mentorship program, which aims to empower women in the biathlon environment on the 24th of February. Prof. Maury Peiperl delivered the introduction to the issue. Building the network within the Biathlon Family was discussed by  President Olle Dahlin, and Jenny Furtenbach shared her business experience. Of course, we could always rely on Guro Askheim Johnsen and her valuable input. As a result, 17 mentees, 17 mentors from our project coordinator SHESKILLZGLOBAL and 17 from Biathlon Family are growing together in the women empowering program.

Dagmara Gerasimuk, the project coordinator said: "This is a new experience for all of us. We all learn a lot from each other. However, making the group of IBU mentors, I must say that all invited to the project agreed in a moment without hesitating and were ready to share and contribute. That is what I value the most with the Biathlon Family. Mentoring can change someone's career and life trajectory. It can open up networks and give the tools and confidence to develop and promote. Most importantly, the right mentors are valuable role models who can help see possibilities. In my opinion, we should develop the project and extend it to various groups, both female and male coaches and athletes."
