In our efforts to increase bespoke content production at the IBU Cup, we are looking for a Storyteller/Content Creator who can organise and contribute to on-site video production.

Do you have an eye for the next big names in biathlon? Are you someone who can identify storylines in the busy environment of a winter sports event? Do you know how to capture the breakthrough victories of a newcomer on a mobile phone? Then you might just be our perfect fit. The Storyteller and Content Creator (IBU Cup) freelance position is part of the IBU's Communication Department and will require travelling and availability from November 2024 until March 2025. As IBU Cup Storyteller and Content Creator, your tasks will include:

• producing mobile content for the platforms of the IBU and its stakeholders from the IBU Cup competition series, based on the IBU's content strategy and scheduling

• identifying stories about the athletes, the teams and the venues of the IBU Cup

• organising day-to-day business during the IBU Cup event weeks with a small team on-site and working closely with the IBU Headquarters team and its larger freelancer team

The following skills and qualifications will be an advantage:

• Mobile-First Filming Skills: you know how to get the best video and behind-the-scenes content with a phone or a small camera

• Organisation Skills for event days and event weeks: you are able to set yourself and your colleagues up for success when it comes to producing the content that's required from the IBU Cup venues - but you can think on your feet; it's biathlon, anything can happen

• Adobe Cloud: You have some basic experience with Adobe Premiere

• Storytelling and Mobile Journalism: You have been part of on-site productions and understand which shot is needed for a certain content format and you can identify stories and strands that appeal to a wider audience

• Social Media Savviness: You have your finger on the pulse and understand what is necessary to create entertaining content for the IBU's Social Media Channels

• Biathlon affinity

• Good English skills, strong communicator

• Driver's license is an advantage but not a must-have
