The Loop One Festival lit up Munich’s Olympiapark with more than just elite performances—it brought together the very best of biathlon for one unforgettable weekend. From high-energy athlete presentations to moments of true inclusion, and a crowd that never stopped cheering, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. But beyond the spectacle, what stood out most to the athletes themselves? We asked them to share their favourite moments, read on to find out.

Anna Gandler: Athletes' presentation like never before

"I was really happy to be in Loop One. For me the absolute highlight was making it to the final and then starting in the BMW World. That must have involved a lot of effort and organization. To all the fans who were there: your support was incredibly motivating, and I had a great time. Now I'm looking forward to the winter!"

Maxime Germain: The route to the start

"We went to the stadium from the athletes' area through the swimming pool. That was epic! I even wanted to jump in to the pool."

Gaia Brunello: Fans like no other

"The best thing this weekend? There was this one moments, I was alone in the penalty loop in the last position, but the crowd was cheering for me like I was in first. Honestly, it felt like like I was winning gold! I couldn't stop smiling. It was one of those surreal, heartfelt moments where you feel the love so strongly it lifts you up. I hope I spread a bit of Brazilian energy around. Obrigado, Munich. You were unforgettable!"

Phoenix Spark: Crowd on point

"I think the German crowd made it an unforgettable experience. The fans made it unreal! They were too loud, they even distracted me from shooting 😂."

Johanna Recktenwald: Representing para sports

"I thought it was just super cool that we got to be there with a relay team and present para sport in such an amazing setting. Through these inclusive events, we keep taking more and more steps forward."
