When you need some extra motivation for a hard workout, the post-workout snack can be just the thing. And what better place to look for inspiration than biathletes? We asked them what they love to eat after a hard training, read on to find out!

"My favorite post-training snack is fruit, both fresh and dried."

Baiba Bendika: When in Italy, pizza!

"When I’m in Italy, my best post-workout combo is pizza and soda. My perfect pizza toppings? Bresaola, mushrooms, arugula, and parmesan."

Sturla Holm Laegreid: Keep it simple

"I’d say my go-to snack after training is a banana—it’s what I eat most after a workout. With a glass of milk, of course!"

David Zobel: Mom's cooki(e)ngs

"The best snack after a hard summer training session is Libella water ice. In winter, it’s my mom’s homemade cookies!"

Natalja Kocergina: Chocolate milk for the win

"Hot chocolate is the best recovery drink for me!"

Lena Repinc and Viktor Brandt also named hot chocolate as their go-to recovery treat.

"It tastes great, reminds me of childhood, is perfect for on the go, and has an ideal carb-to-protein ratio. The only downside? All the waste that comes with it," Repinc adds.
