Olle Dahlin has been the IBU President since 2018. He was first elected to the IBU Executive Board and served as the IBU Vice President Development in the period of 2014-2018, his first term. He is a member of the Swedish Olympic Committee Executive Board. He is the Honorary President of the Swedish Biathlon Federation; prior to that, he was active in the roles of President, Vice President and Executive Board Member. Mr. Dahlin was a member of the Executive Board for the IBU World Championships 2008 in Oestersund, Sweden as well as the Chairman/Executive Board Member of the IBU World Championships 2019 in Oestersund, Sweden. A chemical engineer by education, Mr. Dahlin spent most of his business career in various executive positions in international pulp and paper companies. A former athlete in skiing, shooting and biathlon Mr. Dahlin still spends a lot of his leisure time in outdoor activities, preferably in the company of his wife and three sons in their family cottage.

IBU First Vice President Czech Republic Jiri HAMZA

Jiri HAMZA
M.A. Jiri Hamza (1970) has been a member of the IBU Executive Board and IBU 1st Vice President since 2018. He is serving his first term. Since 2014, he is the president of the Czech Biathlon Union. He is also the president of the OC IBU World Cup Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic. Mr. Hamza served in the role of Chairman of the OC of the IBU World Championship NMNM 2013. In the period 1994-2008, he was the general manager of the Czech women's basketball team. In the period 1993-2010, he was the general manager of BK Brno Žabovresky, one of the most successful women basketball teams in Europe for that period. He also served in the roles of the Vice-Chairman of the Czech Basketball Federation and as an advisor to the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport in the Czech Republic. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Masaryk University Brno, where he is a former student. Mr. Hamza has been an active biathlete in his youth; he is the former summer biathlon champion of Czechoslovakia. He is married to a former WNBA basketball star, has four children. In his leisure time, he spends time with his family and is active in cross-country skiing and jogging.

Vice President Finances Austria Dr. Klaus LEISTNER

Dr. Klaus LEISTNER
Dr. Klaus Leistner (born 1945) has been a member of the IBU Executive Board since 2006. He served in the role of Vice President Finance, responsible for finance and business affairs, for the period of 2006-2019. From the Extraordinary IBU Congress in Munich, Germany in 2019, he serves in the role of Treasurer in the IBU Executive Board. He is in his fourth term as the IBU Executive Board member. Dr. Leistner is a longtime Secretary General of the Austria Ski Federation (OSV). He also held positions of the CEO of several companies in charge of organising major sporting events in Austria including IBU World Championships and FIS World Championships. His law and business expertise was also applied in marketing and tourist industries. Klaus is married, has two children and lives in Innsbruck. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, mainly alpine and nordic skiing, cycling, mountain biking and hiking and, of course, family activities.

IBU Executive Board Member USA Max COBB

Max COBB
Max Cobb has been a member of the IBU Executive Board since 2016. He was Vice-President Sport of the IBU Executive Board between 2016 and 2018. He was re-elected to the IBU Executive Board in 2018 and is serving his four year term. He is the president and CEO of US Biathlon. His work there began in 1989 as the head of the domestic race series after being an active biathlon club competitor during his college years at Dartmouth. In 1990, he was named Assistant Coach and Manager of the National Team, and in 1994 became the Program Director. Cobb has been a part of every Olympic Games since 1992. He became an IBU Technical Delegate in 1998 and served as Chief of Competition at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Elected to the IBU’s Technical Committee (TC) in 2002, he was the chairman for the period of 2010-2016. Cobb also had the role of technical delegate at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia. As a member of the Executive Board (EB) he continues to work closely with the Technical Committee attending their meetings to ensure a close connection between the TC and the EB. Mr. Cobb is married and has three children. All are active Nordic skiers and two compete in biathlon.

IBU Executive Board Member Norway Tore BOYGARD

Tore BOYGARD
Tore Boygard was elected as a member of the IBU Executive Board in 2018. He is serving his first term in the IBU Executive Board. He was a member of the Board of the Norwegian Biathlon Association for the period of 2000 to 2006 and President of the Norwegian Biathlon Association between 2006 and 2016. Mr. Boygard was the head of the main committee for the IBU World Championships 2016 in Oslo-Holmenkollen, Norway. He was a technical delegate for the IBU on the international level from 2006. He was chief of the shooting range at the BMW IBU World Cup level in Oslo-Holmenkollen between 2000 and 2006 as well as the leader of the world’s biggest biathlon festival for young athletes. He has been a member of the city council of Al from 1983; during that period he served as a Mayor for three years and as a Vice Mayor for 12 years. Mr. Boygard is also the Director of Sport, Culture and Events at Al municipality. He has his own carpentry workshop. He is cohabitant, has three children and five grandchildren.

IBU Executive Board Member Germany Dr. Franz STEINLE

Dr. Franz STEINLE
Dr. Franz Steinle has been a member of the IBU Executive Board since September 2018. He is in his first term as a member of the IBU Executive Board. Prior to that, he was a member of the IBU Legal Committee for the period from 2014 to 2018. He is the President of the German Ski Association (DSV) since 2013; he was the Vice President of the German Ski Association (DSV) for the period from 2005 to 2013. He is also a Spokesman of the Wintersport Associations in the Spokesman group of the German Olympic Sports Federation. Dr. Steinle is also a member of the Legal Committee of the FIS as well as of the Commission Law of the German NADA. Franz Steinle was a judge at various courts for over 38 years and most recently President of the Higher Regional Court Stuttgart until his retirement at the end of 2017. Dr. Steinle was also a coach in Nordic Combined for over 20 years and is still active in cross-country skiing, running and cycling. He is married, has 2 adult sons and 4 grandchildren and lives in Ravensburg, close by Lake Constance in the South of Germany.

IBU Executive Board Member Slovakia Ivor LEHOTAN

Ivor LEHOTAN
Ivor Lehotan (1966) has been a member of the IBU Executive Board member since the Regular IBU Congress in Nice, France 2002 when he was also appointed as the IBU Vice-President Information. He has served in that role until 2018 when he was re-elected in the IBU Executive Board for his fifth term. Mr. Lehotan is the former Vice-President of the Slovak Biathlon Association (2006-2016). He is the President of the Organising Committee Biathlon Brezno-Osrblie, host of the International Biathlon Events in Slovakia. In 1997 he was the chief media officer at the IBU World Championships in Brezno-Osrblie. A journalist by education, he has been working as a sports journalist and editor at the Slovakian Daily Newspaper Sport, Bratislava since 1988. He is still an active tennis player, badminton player and alpine skier. He is married, has one child and lives in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.

IBU Executive Board Member Canada Dr. James E. CARRABRE

Dr. James E. CARRABRE
Dr. Jim Carrabre has been a member of the IBU Executive Board since 2006. He was IBU Vice President for Medical Issues in the period of 2010-2018. He was reelected to the IBU Executive Board in 2018 and is serving his fourth term. Dr. Carrabre has been a longtime member of Biathlon Canada, beginning as one of its founders and continuing to be involved in the federation in a number of levels. Dr. Carrabre practices Family Medicine and Sports Medicine at the Lakeview, Watertown Clinic. He attended Medical School and Residency at the University of Manitoba, Canada where he also received a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. He is Board Certified in Sports Medicine from both the American Board of Medical Specialties and the Canadian Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He is Board Certified in Family Practice from the American Board of Medical Specialties and the Canadian College of Family Physicians. He has also been inducted as a Fellow into both the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians and is an Alumni of the International Olympic Academy in Elias Greece. Dr. Carrabre is a former biathlete. He is married, has three kids and lives in Minnesota, US.

IBU Athletes' Committee Representative with voting rights USA Clare EGAN

Clare EGAN
Clare Egan (born 1987) is a U.S. biathlete. She was elected in 2018 to chair the IBU Athletes' Committee until 2022. She is also the IBU Athletes’ Committee representative with voting rights in the IBU Executive Board elected in 2018. This is Ms Egan's first term as the IBU Executive Board member. After switching to biathlon from cross-country skiing, Ms. Egan took part in her first biathlon competition in 2013. In January of 2015, she made her BMW IBU World Cup debut and since then she has represented the US Biathlon Team at the IBU World Championships as well as the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. In March of 2019, she reached the World Cup podium for the first time, finishing third in the mass start at the season’s finals in Oslo, Norway. Ms. Egan was a stand-out runner and skier at Cape Elizabeth High School, from which she graduated in 2006. As an undergraduate student at Wellesley College, she ran cross-country and track and started the Wellesley Ski Team. After graduating in 2010, Clare spent a year at the University of New Hampshire, where she competed in Division I cross-country, track, and Nordic skiing while pursuing a master's degree in linguistics. Originally from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Ms. Egan lives in Lake Placid, USA and speaks five languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish, French).

Niklas Carlsson (1974) has been the IBU Secretary General since September 2019. He is an ex officio member of the IBU Executive Board without voting rights. He is the former CEO of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2019 in Are, Sweden. Before that, he served as Secretary General of the Swedish Ski Federation from 2011-2014. He joined the National Federation from the International Ski Federation (FIS), where he worked as Event and Sponsoring Manager for three years. He also sat on the board of Falun 2015, the company for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships; and the board of World Championships Region, a co-owned company by Are 2019 and Oestersund 2019 responsible for promoting the World Championships in the region. Carlsson who is fluent in English and German, has also served as Head Coach and Alpine Director for the Swedish Ski Federation. The father of two children holds a coaching diploma from the University of Physical Education in Stockholm.
