Norway Powers to Youth Women Relay Gold, Germany Closes Home Championships with Junior Gold

The seventh and final day of the IBU Youth and Junior World Championships 2026 in Arber featured the women’s relay races, bringing the championships to a close. Norway dominated the Youth Women Relay, while Germany delighted the home crowd with victory in the Junior Women Relay.

Youth Women Relay

Norway claimed gold with the trio of Stine Haarstad, Hanna Voelstad and Martine Skog, who stayed at the front of the race throughout and delivered one of the strongest shooting performances of the day (0+5). France secured the silver medal, while Ukraine completed the podium in third place.

Junior Women Relay

Germany closed the home championships with gold thanks to the quartet of Johanna Lehning, Melina Gaupp, Leni Dietersberger and Sydney Wuestling. France secured silver despite skiing two penalty loops on the opening two legs, while Ukraine claimed bronze with one penalty lap.

The globes for the Junior Women Nations Cup and the Women’s IBU Junior Cup Relay Score were awarded to Ukraine.

In the final medal standings, Latvia topped the table with three gold, three silver and one bronze medal, ahead of Slovakia and Norway. In total, 11 different nations won at least one gold medal at the championships.
