      Paulina Fialkova is a rising star on the BMW IBU World Cup circuit. her career started to take off when she placed 5th in he 15K individual at the 2018 Olympic winter Games in Pyeongchang. At the 2018 Tyumen World Cup, she picked up the first podium of her career with 2nd place in the season-ending women's mass start. She picked up right where she left off as the 2018-19 season began, equaling that personal best in both the Hochfilzen pursuit and Nove Mesto mass start, while adding three additional podiums during December 2018.
