This past weekend, 5-8.9.2024 was a display of exciting biathlon competitions with four Regional Events held across four different regions. Bulgaria, Slovakia, Estonia, and Canada —bringing together almost 400 athletes from across the globe.

Summer Balkan Cup | Bansko, Bulgaria

The second edition of the Summer Balkan Cup saw over 70 athletes from Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, Greece, and Lebanon competing in an exciting summer biathlon weekend. With representatives from seven countries, the event showcased talent and skill, contributing to the regional biathlon circuit's growing success.

Central European Cup | Osrblie, Slovakia

Hosted in Osrblie, Slovakia, the Central European Cup brought together over 90 athletes from Slovakia, Czechia, and Hungary. This second competition of the summer season highlighted the region’s top young biathletes as they pushed their limits in this thrilling sport.

Baltic Biathlon Cup | Otepää, Estonia

The Baltic Biathlon Cup in Otepää, Estonia, featured over 200 athletes from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland. With a strong turnout from four nations, this event boasted some of the best performances of the season, providing unforgettable moments for both athletes and fans.

"The number of participants has increased year after year as the nearby countries have recognized that the Baltic Biathlon Cup is a great opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills. It provides youth and junior athletes with valuable international competition experience, even before participating in the IBU Junior Cup or the IBU Youth and Junior World Championships", said NF Estonia Media Manager Greta Külvet.

North American Summer Cup | Valcartier, Canada

The North American Summer Cup at Valcartier, Canada, had a more intimate setting, with around 20 athletes from Canada and the USA. Despite the smaller amount of participants, the competition remained intense, offering a platform for athletes to show their skills.
