First Level Course in Hochfilzen successfully finished

20 coaches from 19 different national federations have embarked on the comprehensive three-week Coach Education First Level Course organized by the IBU Academy. The first week of the course has successfully concluded from 6th to 11th May in Hochfilzen (AUT), and the next sessions are set to take place from 7th to 12th October in Östersund (SWE), and during the last week of March in Jakuszyce (POL).

The IBU Academy is committed to developing coaching education programs that blend theory and practice, delivered by international experts. The programs are designed to foster creativity and scholarship and to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and active contribution to the global biathlon community at various professional levels, from recreation to high performance.

The initial week focused on key topics such as skiing technique, shooting technique, equipment management, and the development of coaches' soft skills. These sessions, led by international winter sports and sports science experts, successfully combined theoretical and practical knowledge. Armin Kasslatter (ITA) and Knut Kuvas Brevik (NOR) served as IBU Educators and were responsible for all practical lessons during the week in Hochfilzen.

The IBU Academy extends its sincere appreciation to the Hochfilzen Organizing Committee for their exceptional support, which was instrumental in the successful execution of the first part of the Coach Education Course. The Academy eagerly looks forward to the next sessions and continues its commitment to fostering a global community of proficient biathlon coaches. Stay tuned for more updates!

"The week in Hochfilzen was a great success. The venue was ideal for this kind of education and the invited coaches were extremely engaged in their learning", said Gerold Sattlecker, Head of the IBU Academy.
