This week, the International Olympic Committee announced that the upcoming 2030 and 2034 Olympics will be held in the French Alps and Salt Lake City, with the biathlon events taking place at our regular World Cup venues in Annecy-Le Grand Bornand and Soldier Hollow. During its 142nd session in Paris, the International Olympic Committee has awarded the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2030 to the French Alps and the 2034 edition to Salt Lake City-Utah. Given the next French government will sign the Games Delivery Guarantees, Annecy-Le Grand Bornand will be the biathlon venue for 2030, whilst Soldier Hollow will host the biathlon competitions in 2034.

Team Italy claims the final Gold medal of the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon. Despite three penalty loops on the third leg, the quartet of Nayeli Mariotti Cavagnet, Carlotta Gautero, Hannes Bacher and Michel Deval prevailed in the Mixed Relay, following up on Italy's Mixed Relay victory in Lausanne.
Antonin Guy and Carlotta Gautero are the Sprint Youth Olympic Champions in Gangwon. For Guy, it is the third gold medal in as many competitions. Gautero had previously been a silver medalist in the Youth Women Relay at last year's Youth Junior World Championships in Shchuchinsk.
With a dominant display across all four legs, France's Alice Dusserre and Antonin Guy claimed Gold in the Single Mixed Relay at the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon.
