Antholz 2026 Power Rankings: What a difference a week makes!

With Tommaso Giacomel, Eric Perrot, Lou Jeanmonnot and Lisa Vittozzi winning for the first time this season; Anna Magnusson and Maren Kirkeeide continuing their ascent; Suvi Minkkinen and Océane Michelon enduring a difficult week; and Franziska Preuss still not competing, the Antholz 2026 Power Rankings began to shift. While Jeanmonnot convincingly retained her top spot, Perrot edged ahead of Sturla Holm Laegreid, who is yet to reach the podium this season.

Jeanmonnot holds, Magnusson unstoppable

With a Sprint win, and despite an unexpected display of nerves in the decisive shooting of the Pursuit, Jeanmonnot kept her spot atop the Power Rankings. Vittozzi’s Pursuit win moved her into second place. Two podiums in one week lifted Magnusson from 10th to fifth and catapulted Kirkeeide from outside the Top 10 into seventh. Kirkeeide replaced Lisa Theresa Hauser, who failed to score a single point at her home venue. Minkkinen’s disappointing Sprint and the resulting limited opportunity to advance in the Pursuit dropped her from fifth to ninth. Michelon also had a week to forget in Austria, losing four places and now sitting 10th — just one point ahead of Dorothea Wierer.

Non-ranked Camille Bened continued to shine, delivering two flower-ceremony finishes and placing fourth in the Total Score.

Perrot takes over from Laegreid

A second place and a win propelled Perrot past Laegreid in dramatic fashion, with just 0.472 points separating the Frenchman and the Norwegian star. Movements in the men’s rankings were less dramatic than in the women’s. Giacomel moved up one place to third, Quentin Fillon Maillet slipped two spots from second to fourth, and Campbell Wright climbed two places from ninth to seventh. Injured Jakov Fak failed to score any points and appears set to lose his Top 10 position to Philipp Nawrath.

The standout athlete of the season so far, Johan Olav Botn, continued his otherworldly shooting form, missing just three shots across individual competitions to date and remaining the wildest of wild cards as the World Cup heads to France and the Olympic showdown edges ever closer.
