Guigonnats make history as it's a French day - again - at the IBU Cup this time in Lenzerheide

France won both the Mixed Relay and the Single Mixed Relay on the opening day of the closing week of the 2025/2026 IBU Cup season in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. Antonin and Gillone Guigonnat became the first siblings ever to win in an IBU Cup Single Mixed Relay.

In the Mixed Relay, France (E. Claude, D. Levet, V. Galmace-Paulin, C. Henaff) won in 1:03:00.5 despite a penalty loop (plus nine reloads) and a substantial time deficit after the opening leg. Italy (N. Romanin, D. Bionaz, M. Trabucchi, M. Carrara), with just five reloads, finished second, 10.9 seconds behind France. Germany (R. Rees, L. Fratzscher, S. Schneider, H. Kebinger), with six reloads, completed the podium, 27 seconds behind the winners.

In the Single Mixed Relay, Antonin and Gillone Guigonnat used six reloads to secure another IBU Cup victory for France in 36:06.0. Jaakko Ranta and Erika Janka of Finland used seven reloads and finished in second place, 31.4 seconds behind the French brother-sister duo.
