Learn Italian with biathletes - all the words they picked up in Antholz
We bet wherever you go in the World, everyone knows how to say hello in Italian. But what are some new words the athletes picked up during their time in the Olympics? Now is the time to take a seat and learn some Italian with the biathletes!
Philipp Horn - Andiamo (Let's go)
"The best word I learned during the time in Antholz is Andiamo! Sounds great, and you can use it every time you start doing something together."
Lora Hristova - Farfalla (Butterfly)
"The best word I learned during my time in Italy was farfalla. We were on the tracks with the waxers and actually saw a butterfly near us in the snow. Then I got curious about how a butterfly is called in Italian and asked them."
Anne De Besche - Favolosa (fabulous)
"Favolosa is a word I picked up from the stadium in Antholz. It means fabulous, I love how expressive it sounds, and it feels warm, enthusiastic, and very Italian."
Shawna Pendry - Spillo (pin) and accreditamento (accreditation)
"To be honest, I didn't really learn any Italian. I think spillo or accreditamento would be the two most frequent words I heard the volunteers tell me."
