An hour later, Eric Perrot, with three penalties, trailing Quentin Fillon Maillet by 20 meters into the home stretch, sprinted past the stunned Fillon Maillet on the line for the 33:27.6 victory.

City Biathlon returns to Dresden this Sunday for its 2025 edition with another international field including 2024 men’s champion Jakov Fak battling French stars Eric Perrot and Quentin Fillon Maillet among others. The women’s field sports IBU World Cup Total Score runner-up Lou Jeanmonnot, her teammate IBU Under 23 Champion Oceane Michelon and 2024 third place finisher Karoline Offigstad Knotten. Just after Vittozzi’s joyful win, fast shooting Martin Uldal, after two earlier penalties. cleaned the final standing stage, sealing his second win of the weekend, taking the Blink Men’s Mass Start in 13:43.1.

France’s Lou Jeanmonnot, after not qualifying for the shooting duel final out-sprinted Italy’s Lisa Vittozzi, winning the women’s super sprint at Blink with a single penalty in 15:28.4. Eric Perrot made it a French double, taking the men’s title in a photo-finish 13:42.9 over Norway’s Sturla Holm Laegreid.

Siegfried Mazet will be stepping down as Head Coach of the Norwegian Biathlon Men's Team after the Olympic Season 2025-2026. This was announced by the Norwegian Biathlon Federation in a press release earlier this afternoon. Mazet had taken on the role in 2016, guiding the team to over 150 World Cup victories in his decade-long tenure.

The four-day Blinkfestivalen kicked off “Rollerski Season” today with Lysebotn Opp cross-country race, two days before some of biathlon’s biggest stars line up for the biathlon competitions as the Olympic season grows closer each day.

Eric Perrot was undoubtably last season’s breakout star, becoming IBU World Champion in the 20 km Individual, taking two additional World Cup victories while finishing third in the World Cup Total Score.
