The International Biathlon Union (IBU) has confirmed its support for 24 Winter Regional Events across six regions for the 2025/2026 season.

With a strong focus on future growth, the IBU remains committed to biathlon talent by providing both financial and logistical support to ensure these events are successful and accessible. This initiative aims to empower the entire biathlon community—both organizers and athletes—by creating more opportunities for participation and development.

As Regional Events are growing with the aim of being included as qualification events, in season 2025/2026, all athletes in Regional Events must be registered in the IBU Membercenter, and all the results can be found in the IBU Datacenter.

The 2025/2026 IBU Regional Winter Events Calendar is filled with competitions for athletes at youth and junior levels, offering vital support for the continued expansion of biathlon in diverse regions. Through this program, the IBU seeks to establish sustainable, well-structured events that foster long-term development and strengthen cooperation between National Federations.
