They don't want to miss a ring

Five biathletes got married in the past weeks, the only time they could afford to do so. Their heavy training load in the summer and an intense competitive winter don't allow for other activities. On three occasions a biathlete married a biathlete, one biathlete married an ex-race walker, and one married her coach.

Austrian teammates, Katharina Innerhofer and David Komatz got married in Salzburg and celebrated at the Oedensee, a natural lake in the Salzkammergut.

Home is where you are

That is what Philipp Horn wrote in his Instagram post to her wife Antonia Fraebl, another cross-country skier (she competed at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022) who is joining biathlon in the 2022/2023 season. They got married at the Berg & SPA Hotel in Gabelbach, with 70 guests in attendance on a hot springy day.

Embrace in Chateau Bela

Paulina Fialkova and race walker Milos Batovsky (he competed at the Olympic Games Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012) said yes in Hotel Chateau Bela in Bela, Slovakia.

Bon voyage in Ruhpolding

Regina Oja and Kalev Ermits will no longer be teammates in the new season but they promised each other eternal love in Ruhpolding. Regina will continue in the world club, Kalev is ready for new challenges.

The city of love for in-love Amanda

Amanda Lightfoot married her long-time Italian boyfriend and coach Ilario Maddalin. They spent their honeymoon in Paris. Amanda plans to complete her Army career in the British Army and then see which door will open.
