Following a successful inaugural edition in 2025, the Loop One Festival will return to Munich’s iconic Olympic Park on 17–18 October 2026, bringing world-class biathlon back to the heart of the city for an expanded second edition.

A world-class field will come together in Munich, led by Olympic Champions and defending Loop One Festival winners Lisa Vittozzi of Italy and Eric Perrot of France. Olympic medallists Sturla Holm Laegreid and Johan-Olav Smoerdal Botn of Norway and Elvira Oeberg of Sweden will be among the other stars taking to the course at the Olympic Park.

Beyond the competitions, visitors can look forward to a varied programme of activities and entertainment for children, families and fans of all ages throughout the weekend. Biathlon legends and former German athletes will also be part of the festival, meeting fans and sharing their experience of the sport, including through the IBU’s Biathlon 4 All programme, where everyone will have the opportunity to try biathlon for themselves.

Tickets for the grandstand seating and standing area at the shooting range are available at looponefestival.com and offer fans the best view of the decisive moments of the competitions. Access to the course and the entire festival zone will be free of charge, allowing visitors to enjoy the festival atmosphere and follow the action around the Olympic Park.

This year, the event will feature 60 of the world’s top male and female biathletes competing in qualifications and finals on both Saturday and Sunday, giving fans two full days of top-level biathlon action. The programme will also include Para Biathlon competitions on Saturday.

The expanded competition programme builds on the success of the inaugural Loop One Festival, which brought biathlon to a new urban audience in Munich. Around 50,000 visitors came to the Olympic Park last year, with 18,000 fans gathering in the stands and along the iconic course to watch Vittozzi and Perrot claim the first-ever Loop One Festival titles.
