Caffeinate or not to caffeinate - getting ready for Oestersund!

Coffee, that warm hug that gives you energy and gets you going. Since we are starting the season in Oestersund, where daylight at the end of November is scarce, it might come in handy to drink a cup or two. But do the biathletes take a sip before heading to the start gate? Read on to find out?

Chloe Levins - Brings a smile to my face

"Coffee also brings a smile to my face! I need to have the same amount of caffeine as normal to reach the same setpoint! But I recommend always doing your normal. I'm looking forward to some hygge vibes in Oestersund and to race under the lights."

Julia Tannheimer - Not for me

"I don't like coffee, so I never drink it. From Oestersund I am most looking forward to seeing how my shape is and to meeting everyone again!"

Joscha Burkhalter - Nothing better than a cappuccino

"There's nothing better than to start the day right with a cappuccino from a portafilter. Helps me to wake up and get ready for the training and races.

After the long summer we all cannot wait to race again, to feel this pre-competition nervousness and tension, the nice feeling after a good race and especially to meet all the friends in the biathlon family again!"

Pascale Paradis - Best part of the morning

"I'm so excited to get to Europe! Coffee is a yes, because it is the best part of the morning, it is so cosy and delicious. I am most looking forward to being in the fun, energetic atmosphere again, and seeing friends from other teams."

Sonja Leinamo - I could drink litres of it but...

"I could drink litres of coffee before the race, but I cannot stand the taste. So it is a no for me."

Renars Birkentals - It is my new obsession

"Yes to coffee before the race because it has become like my little obsession lately. Whenever I have the chance, I will fancy a cup of black coffee. As I mostly drink it black, it is important to get it in good quality, so I am always open to taste and search for a tasty cup of coffee!"
