Isak Leknes Frey - Norwegian humour to keep up the mood
"I listen to a lot of this Norwegian podcast called 'B-laget' and another one called 'Enkel servering'. Both are humour podcasts about life and everything really. B-laget is focused around football, sports and humour and I listen to it every week."
Pascale Paradis - Self-growth with a podcast
"I listen to Mel Robbin's podcast or On Purpose by Jay Shetty. I like to listen to these because I really value wellness and slef-growth and I really like the topics that they discuss."
Matija Legovic - Learning something new
"The Joe Rogan Experience is my go-to podcast. It is interesting to me as well as very educational. And there are always one of the Worrld's most popular people in this podcast as a guest!"
Susan Kuelm - Estonian all the way
"I listen to a few Estonian ones. They are 'Spordis ainult tüdrukud', 'Mehed ei nuta' and 'Betsafe'. 'Spordis ainult tüdrukud' is a podcast where female sports journalists talk to women in and about sports on various topics."
Jacques Jefferies - Music, life and mental health
"I listen to loads of podcasts. I actually prefer them to music while training, as they keep me engaged and help me stay up to date with what’s going on in the world, depending on the topic, of course!
If I had to recommend a couple, the first would be Waveform by tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD. It’s a weekly podcast that covers everything related to technology. That might sound a bit geeky, but I absolutely love it; not just because it’s informative and gives me the latest updates to talk about with friends, but also because it’s just really well produced. The audio quality is great, which makes it perfect for long training sessions.
The second one I really enjoy is The Fellas podcast, hosted by two British YouTubers. It’s very casual, just two guys chatting about life, current events, and pop culture, often with big-name guests. It’s definitely more geared toward a male audience and quite UK-centric, which is probably why I enjoy it so much ; it feels like home.
Once I’ve gone through those two weekly episodes, I often look for other podcasts around sport and mental health in sport. They’re not always easy to find consistently, but I keep an eye out for episodes that touch on those themes because they really resonate with me."
