It's been a challenging, emotional, and thrilling week in Oberhof to kick off the year 2026 - your four nominees for the first Athlete Of the Week voting of this year are Julia Simon, Tommaso Giacomel, Martin Uldal and Elvira Oeberg.

Both Giacomel and Oeberg started the year with sprint-pursuit double victories - while Oeberg cruised from start to finish in the pursuit, Giacomel defied the odds by powering to victory despite missing six targets.
