Lukas Hofer (ITA) returned to the World Cup podium after five years. With clean shooting in the Short Men's Individual, the Italian secured a third place. The party was just starting for him, as on Saturday, the Italian mixed relay team won, and also on Sunday, we saw Hofer in the flower ceremony after scoring a 5th place in the Mass Start.
Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (FRA) won her first race of the season. In the Women's Short Individual, she was battling for the top spot until the very last meters, but she snagged the win with 1.3 second lead ahead of her teammate. She also stepped on the podium in the Mixed Relay, as the French team finished second.
Campbell Wright (USA) has been hunting the World Cup podium for the whole season, and today he finally reached his goal. Wright was fighting for the win until the final shooting, where he missed one shot, placing him in second place. Team USA also did well in the Mixed Relay, since they finished 4th, equalling the country's best ever result.
Julia Simon (FRA) has been known as the four-shooting competition expert, and Sunday's Mass Start made no difference. In a fiery race, the top three women were fighting for the win until the final meters, but it was Simon who managed to find the final power and finish on top for the first time this season.
