IBU Congress: Olle Dahlin (SWE) elected as new IBU President
The 13th Regular IBU Congress has elected Olle DAHLIN (SWE) as the new President of the International Biathlon Union for a term of four years. The election result was 39 votes for DAHLIN, and 12 votes for Baiba BROKA.
Jiri HAMZA (CZE) has been elected new First Vice President of the International Biathlon Union. The election result was 30 votes for HAMZA, and 20 votes for Franz STEINLE (GER). There was one invalid vote. Candidates Tore BOYGARD (NOR), Victor MAYGUROV (BLR) and Ivor LEHOTAN (SVK) have withdrawn their candidacies prior to the vote.
Dr. Klaus LEISTNER (AUT) has been re-elected as IBU Vice-President Finances. The election result was 29 votes for Dr. Klaus LEISTNER and 22 votes for Kalle LÄHDESMAKI (FIN).
