Athletes Reunite for IBU Junior Cup

A total of 235 athletes made the trip to Obertilliach, Austria for the first IBU Junior Cup of the season, where the conditions where perfect for biathlon competitions.

The start of the season is always special for the young athletes not only in the way that they are excited for the competitions, but also as they get to reunite with athletes from all over the world:

Time flew by quickly and suddenly the seriousness kicked in when the first competition started.

The first two sprints were dominated by French athletes. With five athletes in the six podium spots:

In the second sprint, the German women took the two first spots. While on the men's side just like the day before, French men once again took two of three podium spots.
