TUE

TUE  –  Therapeutic Use Exemptions

Athletes with a documented medical condition requiring the use of a Prohibited Substance or Prohibited Method must first obtain a TUE.

Athletes included by the IBU in its Registered Testing Pool (link zu RTP) must obtain a TUE from IBU. Other Athletes participating in any IBU International Event should apply for a TUE at their National Antidoping Organization.

The applications must be submitted via ADAMS.

Declaration of Use (DoU)

In accordance with the International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions, a Declaration of Use must be completed by the Athlete for the administration of glucocorticosteroids by inhalation intraarticular, periarticular, perintendinous, epidural and intradermal routes.

No TUE or declaration of use is required for topical administration of glucocorticosteroids.

The declarations must be submitted via ADAMS.
