Superspring Final Competition

Only the fastest athletes in the qualification competition are allowed to participate in a Final Competition – the total number depends on the number of available competition targets. A single simultaneous start for all competitors is held as a mass start.
The fastest athlete in the qualification competition will start with start number 1 in the first row, starting from the left. The athletes with the starting numbers 2 and 3 right next to him will start in the same row. Athletes with starting numbers 4 to 6 will start in the second starting row, and so on. The distances between the different starting rows have to be five meters, with three meters between the starting tracks. In the first 20 meters after the start, the start tracks must not be changed. After 20 meters, the skating technique may be used.
The Final Competition is organized on a course with a distance of 4 to 6 km. 5 loops with a distance between 800 and 1200 meters each have to be skied. There are 4 shooting bouts at between 800 and 4800 meters in the positions prone, prone, standing, then standing. The shooting regulations are the same as in the qualification competition. The total climb should be between 60 and 125 meters. The winner is the athlete who crosses the finish line first. The subsequent placings correspond to the order in which they finish.
