The Communication Director is responsible for the IBU communication projects regarding distribution of information and serves as the secretary for the Information Committee. He supervises the media working conditions at the major IBU competition venues in coordination with the Organizing Committee.

The Secretary General is a non-voting member of the Executive Board, in charge of the IBU Headquarters. She manages the IBU’s day to day business in accordance with the resolutions passed by the Executive Board and the Congress.
